Just picked up a PS4 and its on 4.50 - whats the happs?

Evening folks, any developments back on the PS4 scene as the last time I checked in was around 1.50 and the like. Just bought a new slim and its on 4.50 so am wondering whats happening with the scene and whether its worth sticking on the low fw or just upgrading?
